Ever’man’s plans for second store gain momentum

PENSACOLA,Fla.(March 2,2017)–Ever’man Cooperative is pleased to announce its choice of Bullock Tice Associates (BTA) to provide architectural and design services for its second store, to be built upon the four-acre property at 1000 East Nine Mile Road. Planning and design work will begin right away, and Ever’man expects to have plans for the new store finalized by year’s end.

BTA has been listed as a Top Architecture Firm in national surveys for the Architectural Record and the Almanac of Architecture & Design. Ever’man contracted BTA to complete the remodel of its downtown location at 315 West Garden Street. Noted for its sustainability and distinctive design, the project garnered prestigious local and national awards for Ever’man, including the Progressive Grocer’s “Best Remodel Under $3 Million” and the Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s “Rehab/Repurpose Development of the Year.” Led by BTA Associate Partner and Chief Design Principal Larry Adams, Jr., LEED AP, the project was a model of green business practices, incorporating energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures and rooftop heat pumps, water filtration system and electric car charging stations.

“Bullock Tice Associates is pleased to continue our relationship with Ever’man and to assist them with their expansion efforts to better serve their co-operative and community at large,” said John Tice, Jr., CEO.

Like the downtown rebuild, the new Ever’man Grocery & Cafe will feature a sustainable and community- friendly design. Ideas on the table include energy-efficient systems, skylights, green and outdoor event spaces, a community garden and indoor-outdoor dining areas. The new location will include a full-service grocery store and cafe, organic juice and coffee bars, and community education center offering complimentary classes and events on healthy eating and mindful living.

“Ever’man is very excited to work with Bullock Tice on such an important project. Larry Adams and his team are responsive to Ever’man member and customer needs and values. We look forward to working together as we design our second community store,” said William Rolfs, General Manager.
